Is it offensive to use 'Saigon' instead of 'Ho Chi Minh City'?

It's not offensive at all because people are still using the name Saigon up to this day. I myself really love the name and I hardly call it 'Ho Chi Minh City'. Most of Saigonese (people living in HCMC) tend to use its former name more than the official one.
