How can I check my eMedical status?

You can check the status of your medical results using the check your application status tool. If you cannot see your status, and the processing time for your medical exam has passed, use our Web form to ask about the status of your case.

How long is your medical valid for NZ Immigration?

You will stay for more than 12 months

You must have a medical examination if you will stay in New Zealand for more than 12 months. If you are already in New Zealand, the time you have already spent here will count towards the 12 months. Different rules apply if you are applying for a student visa.

How do I find my eMedical reference number?

In the Emedical information sheet on the top right corner there will be a bar code. Just below the barcode "NZER N0000XXXXX" that will be the reference number for emedical.

How can I get eMedical referral letter?

The Generate Referral Letter screen will appear. Click on the Print Referral Letter button at the bottom left of the screen to retrieve your eMedical referral letter. You can then print the letter.

How do I access eMedical?

You can manually access this service via the following link to eMedical Client. If you lodged your visa application online, your HAP ID is in the referral letter you downloaded when you applied. You will be directed to this service automatically. The clinic can't locate your case in eMedical without your HAP ID.
